How we collect, use and look after your personal information.
Who we are
SWR Electrical is an electrical contractor based in East Lancashire. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this website, by phone or by text.
What we collect and why
When you call or text us, we collect the details you give us, such as your name, phone number, email address, location and a description of the work. We use them only to respond to your enquiry, quote for and carry out the work, and issue certificates and invoices. We never sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.
Retention
We keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and customer records for as long as required for legal, tax, certification and guarantee purposes.
Website hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the site. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits; it does not use cookies or collect personal information.
Analytics cookies
We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which pages are viewed and whether the phone or text links are clicked. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) that last up to two years and recognise your browser on later visits. If you don’t, it sets no cookies and only receives anonymous signals that a page was viewed or a link clicked, which Google uses to estimate overall figures. Google processes this data on our behalf and it is not used for advertising. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal information, and to object to or restrict its use. To make a request, call or text us on 07891 841363. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
